Maybe you need to think about installing an A10 CR204 signal repeater or
TB234 on the mains board. I have an installation where the former sends
an A10 signal over 500 Metres to a UM7206 at a solar powered gate.

I have had to do this at my house (and previous house). I plug the CM12
into the closest socket to the fuse/dist board. CM12 seems so much more
reliable when it is 'central' in the mains house wiring. I extended the
serial cable with cat5 back to PC.
