I agree - that's why I don't use any of the PVR features of Media
Portal.  I just use my HTPC as a player - pictures, music, DVD files,
and MAME.  I'm not to bothered with PVR - when Sky HD comes out next
year I'll be signing up and using its built in PVR features.
Until then, it's the trusty VCR for me ;-)
