Re: [OT] Laptop insurance
I am insured through the Co-Op on my household policy. I have also claimed
once where my daughter tripped over the power cord breaking the connector
and screen. The bill was 700 quid (Sony) and settled no problems. Mine
rarely leaves the house so I have not got specific cover for that.
Make sure it is specifically covered as I have heard of them being
excluded from some policies.
Thanks
Ian

Subject: [ukha_d] [OT] Laptop insurance
Can I ask what you guys with laptops do about insurance cover for them
when
you're out and about on the road? Do you just take the risk, have it
covered under your home/business policy, have a separate policy either
from
the manufacturer or an independent?
What cover does it provide, for example anyone get a replacement laptop
while on the road? Anyone any experience of actually claiming on their
insurance?
Having looked into this for my own new laptop over the past few days the
options are numerous and get even more complex if you start to look at
foreign travel!!
Any help appreciated...
Malcolm
