English Partnerships has chosen nine winners in deputy prime minister=20
John Prescott's competition to design a =A360,000 house.

The winners of the second stage of the competition now invited to=20
work up designs for homes on 10 public sector sites are:

Barratt Developments =96 with Advance Housing, Midsummer Housing=20
Association and HTA Architects

Geoffrey Osborne
George Wimpey =96 with Richard Rogers Partnership
Northern Edge =96 with Three Rivers Housing, Yorkshire Housing, South=20
Yorkshire Housing Association, Tees Valley Housing Group and=20
MacKellar Architects
Redrow
SIXTYK Consortium =96 with Crest Nicholson and Kingspan
The Countryside Consortium =96 with Countryside Properties, Hyde Group,=20
Acton Housing Association, Metropolitan Housing Housing Trust,=20
Presentation and PCKO Architects
Westbury
William Verry

The winners now have until October 4 to submit proposals for the=20
first four sites, in Milton Keynes, Northampton, Maidstone and Leeds.

EP will choose overall winners of the competition by the end of the=20
year
