Just spotted this in construction news:
"Safety Plug"
Nottingham Rehab Supplies has launched a new bath plug with safety
features.
The plug uses a pressure activated system that releases excess water when
an
unattended bath reaches a certain depth and also alerts the user to
dangerously hot water by a special colour-change feature.

No connection etc. But I just thought it was a rather neat bit of
automation. Ideal to use with your automated bath filler!
Unfortunately I can't find it on the web site but the picture in the
magazine shows it to be a modern looking pop up style waste.
