Although the Fermacell will take the load I would still worry about the
entire sheet coming away from the metal studs. If the wall is opened up I
would still insert some timber inside the metal stud and fix into it
through
the metalwork to add some strength.

Personally I'd rip off the PB and use fermacell. It will handle 50Kg from a
toggle bolt without the requirement of a noggin. Available at travis
perkins, jewson etc.
