I ordered the "proper" metal 30mm bush, but a plastic 30mm bush
is now
included in the routabout box. A recent addition, I suspect, as its
announced by a stuck on label on the routabout box.

Do you need the unibase - probably, on the basis that on the unibase
box it lists several Bosch models it is suitable for... Though the
unibase has so many holes I suspect it would fit any router known to
man with any holes on it whatsoever.

I used an el cheapo router (about 120 NZD if I remember, about 50
quid) with the unibase, and its all a bit wobbly, but it works
adequately well. The unibase adds another quarter inch of height, or
more accurately, depth, that the router bit needs to prod through, so
the bit isnt as far into the chuck as I'd like. El cheapo router
serial number - 0000072.
