Thanks for your perfect analysis, also the explanation as to the
buzzing bit matches the fault.
Hopefully it went for no reason, as bulb is still ok.

Has anyone tried to get an LD11 apart? If it unscrews easily and triac
is accessible then I might go for the  <LONG_ANSWER>!
Other it's going in the <SHORT_ANSWER> bin </>.
Anyone know what triac it is before I open it up.
BTW : when a halogen bulb went on another LD11 circuit, it tripped the
fuse box circuit breaker rather than the LD11 fuse, don't know if is
this good or bad...it was certainly easier to get going again!!
