RE: xPL FirM Serial

Hi Frank,

Currently as you know I use FirM (still trialling as I haven't got into our
new house yet !!) with a serial interface and use LIRC to decode the IR.
Would it be possible to use the USB UIRT to do the decoding, but rather
than
regenerate the optical IR to feed into the USB UIRT could be directly
couple
the electrical IR signals and avoid the optical connection for both TX and
RX?

or is that what you are doing since it isn't clear from you description
what
the interface is between the FirM serial and the USB UIRT....?

Shane
