Hi Rob
If you programme microcontrollers, then check out the Sensirion
SHT11humidity/temperature sesnor. If you locate the SHT71 then this is
easier to use as it has pins instead of the surface mount on the SHT11.
Farnell have stock of the SHT11 but awaiting the SHT71.

I have code for the Atmel AVR that reads this device that you are
welcome to a copy of if you want to go that route.
