As I think someone already mentioned, the FAQ is open for anybody to
edit, and has a "How I Automated It" section, perfect for the
process
you are describing.

Despite repeated attempts by both myself & Mark, no-one EVER uses the
FAQ. It's perfect for the process you describe above:

1) Someone asks a question on the list.
2) Lots of discussion around it.
3) Someone writes up the pertinant points and creates a section in the FAQ

I can count on one hand how many times that has happened.

What your suggesting is a great idea, it really is, and would be a
really usefull resource for new members, the one problem is that very
few people seem to want to contribute outside of the list itself, and
writing content for the site is left to a small group of people.

There are a grand total of 17 answers in the FAQ, with 21 open
questions waiting for answers, the last of which was asked 11th Nov.
