There is a Windows-based application called xPLRioNet that is being
developed by Tony Tofts at the moment - it may be a better option for those
looking for a Windows-based solution - see www.xplhal.com for details.
It's currently in beta, but is being actively developed and discussed over
on the ukha_xpl list.
It's features include:
- Support for Rio, Exstreamer, SliMP3 and Media MVP*
- Built-in customisable web interface
- Support for MP3, WMA, WAV, FLAC and OGG.
- Support for synchronising multiple Rios
- Shoutcast support (including support for DabBar/Wavefinder MP2 streams)
- Text-to-speech announcements (via xPL messages)
- On-screen messages (via xPL messages) e.g. for caller ID etc.
- Uses any ODBC-compliant database (ships with a Microsoft Access database)
- Can be fully controlled and monitored using xPL messages
- Installs as a Windows service using Microsoft .NET technologies
* Support for the MVP is currently undergoing testing and should be
available in beta form during the next couple of weeks.
If you have any questions feel free to ask away either here, or over on the
ukha_xpl list.
Regards,
John
