fact, it'd be slower, and probably less reliable.  You'd need to
investigate
another control method to speed it up.  I wonder if (seeing as it runs
Linux), you could ssh to it and run commands natively, or perhaps
XPL-enable
the device?  Who knows - it's beyond me.

It's being xPL-enabled at the moment...

We hardly watch any TV at all now (apart from the news) - it's all DVD
movies now.  I think we've unwittingly turned into our parents
("there's
nerver anything on")
