Some
may only be controllable via IR, some may have xPL/xAP interfaces. Of
course, if you used a bit of software that ran on your controller, and
activated the many different control mechanisms on the server, you may be
able to achieve it. The only simple plug'n'play method I can think of is
if
each player uses the same control method (be it IR, or xPL/xAP).

I'm thinking along the lines of a wifi enabled tablet/PDA that sends all
it's command via a central PC. That machine would then activate the
various
devices according to their interface. It's the xAP/xPL approach I suppose,
but it's not there yet...
