RE: Re: KVM switches

Richard,

Thanks ,,, unfortunately it is not USB.

I forgot to add that one of my machines will be a PC and the other a Mac.

So that knocks the linksys out of the equation.

Seems like everyone is not too happy about the Belkin switching. This
should
not be too much of a problem for me (unless it is really annoying).

Can anyone suggest an alternative brand? Or has everyone got a Belkin?

Going to buy one today!

I looked at the Belkin but was disuaded due to reports of
difficulties with the switching. I eventually got the Linksys
Proconnect Integrated.

Very happy with this, absolutely no probs at all and switches neatly
using a double tap on scroll lock. (Some others seem to use the
control key - if you use control codes like ctrl-c & V etc, this can
be a real issue!)

Quality is excellent, even at 1280 x 1024 on a flat screen I cannot
see any difference or detect any key lag. It even looks rather nice
(although it lives under my desk, cable-tied to a leg!)

Regards

Richard
