Yes, this also puts a stop to any forged notes that may be present...

BUT, if the buyer is bringing cash, tell him to meet you at the bank,
this stops pretty much all shenanigans if he is dodgy..

Don't take cash at your house. You might find a few large friends of the
purchaser pay you a brief visit after he's left with the car. Agree the
sale at your house, then go to the bank to pay the cash in. Hand over
the keys when the cash has been payed into your account...
