Bah, I thought "Oh, someone wants the telly" :)
It's the new pioneer pdp-435xde.

Are you "meant" to see the individual pixels though?
It sounds like, on the cheaper one, the pixel size was quite large, but
perhaps the 8k one was higher resolution, and that's why you didn't see
them.
Funniy thing- in JL the other week looking at screens and this bloke next
to
me starts going on about how the sony plasma he was looking at was clearly
superior to the pio, panny etc around it - "Look", he said,
"you can clearly
see the jagged edge in this shot on the sony, but you don't see that on the
others". This, to him, meant "good", but in fact, it means
bad because the
object he was looking at should have had a smooth diagonal.
The other thing was that the sharpness and/or contrast was way too high on
the sony because you could see "shadows" around the text on sky's
epg - this
is extra noise introduced by these kack adjustments.
This, again, he took to be good becase "as a photographer, I expect
the
picture to be sharp".
Clearly a sony fan
Clearly blind
Clearly bonkers ;)
Of course, ATEOTD, whatever rocks your boat m8 is all that really
matter.....
Cheers,
Tony
