ShowCenter: New Beta Software Release
For those of you with ShowCenter's, there is (finally) a new software
release out, version 1.70 beta 1.
Some key improvements (from my viewpoint anyway) is that it now plays
.vob's
bigger than 2GB big (it used to just stop when it got to 2GB), plus it
seems to have lost the audio sync problems (certainly the ones I had).
Plus
there is now a relatively cheap update that enables Dolby Digital mix-down
to analogue. Also, its database has now been changes to MS SQL server
(well, MSDE).
Just thought those of you with one might be interested. It has certainly
put a lot of new life into my ShowCentre.
Oh, and it appears to support uPnP, but I'm not sure how much us that is
going to be yet.
