I messed around with my ATI radeon 9600 and powerstrip for ages trying to
get it to run at
1366x768 in a manner that my 37" LCD monitor would accept. I ended up
getting it working
by setting powerstrip for 1368x768. My problem was compounded by not
knowing the exact
timings required by my monitor.

But when I did get the 1368x768 driver installed and running, I found that
selecting it
from Display Properties-->Settings wouldn't work. IIRC I thought at the
time it might be
because something didn't think the monitor could handle 1368x768. I had to
use the ATI
Catalyst Control Center to change from 1024x768 to 1368x768.

I don't know if that helps any...
