HTPC Aspect Ratio Question

Right, this is doing my head in...
I have an HTPC running via Powerstrip to the correct resolution for the
projector just fine using an ATI Radeon 9200 card but the bugger refuses to
display at the correct resolution. I've done the custom driver thing and
the
ATI software still refuses to see anything bar 1024x768 even although I've
loaded a custom driver for the Sony HS10 PJ telling it to go 1366x768.
What I can't seem to get is the Windows driver to see that the display
device is capable of displaying that resolution even although it can and
the
driver says it can. Any ideas?
And if anyone dares to suggest moving to Linux there will be blood spilled!
