I am using some from Maplins which were a tenner. Sometimes they do them
on offer for a fiver so worth watching for a while. I have just had a
quick look and cannot see them at the moment although one of the listed
ones does not have a picture so it could be that one (LL64U at 7.99). If
it has a speaker output or similar then it can be adapted to trigger
something like a relay etc.

I use HV and found that a quick moving person through the beam break would
sometimes be missed so I added a signal extender (home made) so HV did not
have any excuses to miss it.

Ian,

I've been thinking about using break beams and pressure mats as triggers
instead of PIRs for the same reason. Which beam breaker are you using..
cost ?
