Re: Help Needed! Serial Communication with BT Revelation CLU

Hmmmm data bursts even at slow rates are probably too fast for a dvm which
I
think will respond too slowly. We used to use either a rs232 breakout box
or
a rs232 Ycable for our old half-duplex kit. (Simplified ) - Basically you
have a sort of Y connector at the end you are monitoring and so device
A<---->deviceB + monitor Box.

I've found a picture of the revalation which says the port is attached to a
printer and this prints out once the call is terminated.

I wonder if this would be better then ...Warning !.. double check this as
it's along time since I've played nicely with 232 but this should be a 232
printer cable..

BT box ---> PC /printer
1,4 (dcd to dtr)
2 ---->3
3 ---->2
6,8 (dsr to cts) ---> 4 (dtr)
5 ---> 5

If you need a breakout box .. I'm sure I have an old one kicking around in
the loft.
