Word of warning about Sony Centre's.....

You might *THINK* they are a national chain.....

You might *THINK* they are in some (any) way related to Sony....

You'd be wrong on both counts....

Sony Centre's are individually owned franchises, not supported by, or
afilliated to, Sony, in any way... If you buy something at any given Sony
Centre, you will not (*) be able to return it to any other Sony Centre....
If you recieve unsatisfactory service at a Sony Centre, Sony UK will not be
the slightest bit interested in supporting you in any way whatsoever, (and
are not obliged in any way to do so...

I speak from bitter experience.....

You might *THINK* that Sony allowing them to plaster their name & logo
above
their front door might at least endow them with some sense of
responsibility.... - wrong again....

(*) = Some franchise owners own more that 1 Sony Centre, so you *MAY* find
certain combintaions of shops willing to deal with any problems... - for
instance, the Sony Centres in the Trafford Centre in Manchester and in
Mayfair in London are both owned by the same franchise, and so are able
(willing) to deal with returns/refunds/exchanges etc... between each
other....
