Yes, I had tried a while ago, and found that they didn't sample the
interfaces
you can however, sample interface IC's and make yourself an adaptor...
But - I have the DS9490B USB to 1-Wire / iButton Adaptor on my desk :-) It
looks a little like a little USB flash drive.
Try searching for that part It says on the shipping note and on the web
site
that there is a limit of one per customer
It accepts a single i-button via a little clip on cover, but it wouldn't be
difficult to connect a couple of wires to it and link to a 1-wire bus
(Must be the Advertising people that came up with 1-wire*)
By the same reasoning I have batteries, a power supply, and a telephone
that
can all connect with just one wire ;-)
* N.B not counting the ground connection :-D

As far as I was aware, the free samples at www.maxim-ic.com only
extends to the addressable sensors (iButtons / Temp probes) and not
the computer interfaces.
Do you have a part number for the USB 1-wire interface? I found the
serial version . . . but u cant get samples of that one.
Thanks,
Ben
