Is there any other type of product where the range in price from
cheapest-d=
earest is so big?

We were invited to an evening with Meridian and Dynaudio on tuesday, and
jo=
lly good fun it was, too.

However, it struck me that one can go into Richer Sounds, and buy a pair
of=
speakers for, say, =A350. Alternatively, the most expensive pair I've hear=
d to date was the Dynaudio Evidence Master, which cost a cool =A351,000
per=
pair.

I'm hard pressed to think of ANY other type of new, commodity, purchase
whe=
re you get a range of 1,000-fold from the cheapest to the most expensive.

New cars, for instance, start at around the =A35k mark for a Perodua
thingy=
... but the most expensive new cars are around the =A3300k mark -
"only" 60=
times more expensive...

Laptops are even more closely bunched.... an "el cheapo end of
line", but n=
onetheless new, laptop can be had for =A3350... but you're hard pressed to
=
find anything on the market for more than 20 times that.

Anything? Boats, maybe?

Mark
