And as SWMBO just pointed out (while laughing!) - the water is the
important part. The way hamsters store food means that unless they're on
holiday for a *long* time, they will always have food available to them
either from their bowl or in their bed. However if you don't supply them
with enough water you'll have ex-hamsters, as their tiny little bodies
can't hold that much water supply so they can get dehydrated very easily.
