Yeah,
I /think/ it went something along the lines of,
before changing anything hardware - user your XP cd to do an 'upgrade'
install.
At the point where it wants to reboot (after copying a load of stuff to
the disk) - power off
change your hardware
restart.
XP then carries on running the 'upgrade' routine that then does all the
PNP checks - and /hopefully/ redetects everything.
