I just stuck in 10.5kw - 10,500/230 = 45.65amps.

we do

mV x I x L
---------------
1000

mV on 10mm 3core 4.70x45ampsx25mtrs/1000 - makes it well safe @ 5.29V -
max
permissable - 4% or 9.20Volts

Sorry - answer is - 10mm.

You can get away with 6mm - but 10 will give you a little more space
if
you
decide to up the outgoing MCB in the future.

If you mailed yesterday, i didnt see anything as i was at Clipsal,
coincidentally with our illustrious leader, learning about some very
exciting new CBus products....

Thanks Dean,

I think your inbox swallowed my last few messages ;)

I'm expecting 20m of armoured cable and 5m of standard. That was
based
on a 45A MCB from the CU I believe.

Many thanks,

Paul.

Can anyone give me some pointers to sizing some armoured cable to
run
power to my workshop. I know the power requirements and distances.
Are
there any handy charts etc anywhere?

Paul.
