Can you call from a UK mobile?  Are the calls Toll-free (as far as Orange
is concerned?)

I've used IberPass (http://www.iberpass.com/) which covers
zillions of
countries but is Spain based so has even better access there. So far
they've
been pretty reliable and not too expensive.

As has already been mentioned also you can just use GPRS if you have it,
and
you shouldn't have to change any settings. I've done that before as well
though I'm with Vodafone.
