Yes, sure. How much are caddy systems these days?

The other factor is physical storage space - HDD's will probably take up a

fair bit compared to tape. I guess they will be faster in backup/retrieval

though (and random access).

Still, there's something whispering in my ear that using HDD's as archive

torage is unnatural ;)
