Do you mean the server? The remote? It's not clear what you don't like
about Slimp3.

Ah - but all you need by your hifi, in your listening room, is the the
Slimp3 display/client - which is SILENT !! :-D
(and the display can be turned off so it's dark)

That's exactly what Slimp3 does.

You run the Slimp3 server software on your PC, in your noise Nedo0 - and
then run ethernet to your hifi, where you locate the Slimp3 and connect
it to your hifi.
Slimp3 can then be controlled used a browser, and probably (though I've
no experience here) integrated with xlobby or similar. The Slimp3
controller interface is open and very easy to integrate with other
stuff.
