Cheap ethernet control from simple micro processors is almost the holy
grail (of course we all know occupancy sensing is the true holy grail) .
Whether it is using xPL, xAP or some other protocol to do the communication
it would open up cheap and reliable home automation all around the house.
The numbers of units that we would consume as a group would be quite a
reasonable number so as a group I think we should make it a priority to
find a cheap solution. Surely 1200+ people on the case must yield some
result.
