RE: Broadband Champion

Well, we got an eclipse campaign going (www.wewantbroadband.co.uk ) and
they printed hundreds of leaflets for us!

Each time we did a ground pound and posted the leaflets through doors
there was a noticeable increase in numbers registering. Get the local
press involved too - we had a journalist from the "Airdrie and
Coatbridge advertiser" run a series of stories about the campaign -
each
thing again gave a little kick.

If you are in Scotland, speak to Scottish Enterprise - our exchange
didn't actually hit trigger - we got to 315/350 and the "Scottish
lowlands broadband partnership" stepped in :)

Our RFS date is 31st March, so at this point, all the wandering around
neighbourhoods is well worth it - at the time, it was a right royal
pain. I would say - don't be down if you don't get instant results. Most
exchanges on adslguide show a gradual climb, not a dramatic
"whoosh".

Who was the Broadband champion who single handedly brought BB to a
neighbourhood - I have just heard from BT that if I can get enough
people interested they will turn it on : ) and I am out to steal as many
good ideas as I can!

TIA

Tim.
