RE: Aesthetic ceiling mounted wi-fi access points



Both Sony Ericsson (actually might still be under the Ericsson name) and
Nokia (Premicell, Nokia22 and Nokia 32) have in the past offered GSM
modules you can attach standard home phones to, however not sure if they
can mounted outside or not.

Wasn't there that 'box thing' that Doogie has mentioned before which
allows a 'normal' phone handset to be 'adapted' for use on a mobile
network. I think the box takes a specific mobile handset internally or
something like that - could use one of those with an external antenna
and then connect it to a 'normal' phone internally?

Or am I way off the plot.....
