RE: Aesthetic ceiling mounted wi-fi access points

Wasn't there that 'box thing' that Doogie has mentioned before which allows
a 'normal' phone handset to be 'adapted' for use on a mobile network. I
think the box takes a specific mobile handset internally or something like
that - could use one of those with an external antenna and then connect it
to a 'normal' phone internally?

Or am I way off the plot.....
