Some people don't have issues with them.. I have seen too many problems
to be neutral about them. Promise are great, and as you say, cheaper!

Yep, no worries. You can stick two or three of them in a PC, and hook up
tons of drives(tm) then use Disk Administrator to make a monster spanned
volume.
