The simplest and safest approach is to use a changeover (SPDT)
relay. Wire the wiper to the light, tne NC connection to the LD11,
and the NO connection to live.
Normally, the light is connected to the LD11. Energise the relay,
and the light goes to the mains.
You could even put another (manual?) dimmer in the live feed to the
NO contact, so your lights come on instantly to say 60%, rather than
the full monty.
