Indeed. If you expose the IMAP (or better yet, secure IMAP, for
encryption) you can get to it with your lappie from anywhere.
And also the server may have a web interface, allowing access from
any web browser anywhere as well.
I use communigate pro, which doews all this and more, but its not
free :-( but IMHO worth it in terms of zero hassle.
