RE: Re: [OT] PC Power Button

Hi David

I have not tried twisting them together. I'll try it tonight as I have a
pair of fancy pliers designed for twisting locking wire together on my
race bike so it will be the work of moments. It may take a day or two to
get the results back.

Thanks

Ian

Ian,

Just out of interest did you twist the 'extension' wires together? For me
this has solved the sort of problem you mention on many occasion - even
for non balanced 'things' like you are talking about here. An alternative
could be to put an R-C element close to the PC to 'soak' up short splats
of noise!

When twisting lengths of wire longer than a few inches I used to find that
trapping one end of the pair in a vice and the other in the jaws of a hand
drill chuck worked well. Alternatively a pair from a piece of UTP will
remove the need for manual twisting!

Regards,

David
