Hi All
Well after many delays I finally had a fully working prototype of my X10
replacement. I took the plunge and ordered 20 PCB's which arrived on
Friday.
I build one up on Friday and have been testing it as I got chance this
weekend. As of about ten minutes ago it all works. I have one built and
boxed sat on the hall floor ( SWMBO gone out to work). I can set the light
to any value and currently have a fan connected to the AUX o/p all
switching
as it should. Full status is working, I know the current level and if in a
dim cycle what level it is getting to. I can see the switch status and
receive a message when the switch is pressed either on or off. I have added
a few more pictures to

Click on gallery and forward to the first picture with some PCB's and a
pint
pot! There are about a dozen pictures from there on.
I have not updated any of the text yet but I will do as I get the chance.
The last part of the puzzle is to integrate them into my HA setup. I was
going to try to write a homeseer plugin, however XAP/XPL have both come on
and I believe now support homeseer. So can anyone from the XAP/XPL groups
tell me how I could write a PC app that would enable my modules that
communicate in a form of SNAP (the packet size is between 11 and 15 bytes
depending on the address field size) to talk either XAP/XPL. Ideally one
that is based around a file so that I could add extra commands as required.
I have one command byte so I could specify command 04 which is a goto level
command and then add the appropriate XAP/XPL details. Is there anything
available I could modify. Unfortunately I do not have VB my test software I
wrote in Delphi, so any help appreciated.
OK enough typing must get back to some more testing.
