Re: "private" paging system
Here I go again... ;)
If you have an SMS capable DECT phone then ... errm .. get yourself
asterisk... it has fixed line SMS support, whcih means you can do exactly
what you want without paying someone else - well ok, you'll need the card
or ATA type device..and that's prolly a lot of SMS's - but we're talking a
permanent solution, so it would pay off eventually...
The other option, which I've also tried with some success, is to train
SWMBO to tell me when I have new mails, and telling me it's too cold.
Sadly, I believe it to be the case that if I went outside I'd go up in
smoke.. so I don;t do that much.
