CCTV

When we rewired the house I put in some RG59 for a CCTV system and
it is abut time I got round to using it. Therefore, I want to get a
couple of CCTV cameras - one to point down the driveway and one to
watch the front door. The driveway camera will have to be mounted
about 20 foot up and needs to cover an unilluminated area of about
50 feet square. The front door camera ideally needs to be able to
provide an image that is at least recognisable. Therefore, I guess
I need two different cameras.

Secondly, I will need to do something with the output of the
cameras. Therefore, I guess I need a PC card and some software. It
would be good if the software could recognise movement and trigger
recording and possibly also send the output to my TV. I have a TV
which can do picture in picture and I reckon it would be fairly easy
to get a PC to send the appropriate IR command to the telly to get
it to switch to picture in picture and display the driveway/front
door camera.

Anyone have any experience with this sort of thing? I could do with
recommendations regarding what cameras do I need and what PC card /
software combination should I be looking at.

Cheers

Mik
