The specs rate maximum length according to data rates - from 50ft at
19k2 baud to 3000 ft at 2400 baud. In practice, RS232 is extremely
robust and extremely tolerant, and these figures are very
conservative. I wouldn't anticipate any problems whatsoever with a run
of 15m, and you have nothing to risk by trying it in any case.
