Recently there was a bulk buy of RS232(serial) -> RJ45 (ethernet).
Using 2 of these you could extend the run up to a max of 150 feet
(if i'm thinking correctly).  These are sometimes found on eBay.
What will you be using to extend the video signal?  I only ask as
there are some CAt5 video extenders on ebay at the moment.
