Re: OFFLIST Re: Occupancy detection

Nigel,

I've sold them at a special price to people on the group at £29.50 + VAT
each. However, they're quite expensive if you compare them with standard
security PIRs, but they are for a specialised market and the
pyro sensor used is very sensitive and expensive.

They come with 2 core screened cable attached - approx. 1.0m. The screen
is
used as the ground wire with the other 2 cores being 12V and open collector
output. You can connect the output directly to HomeVision's Port B (or
Expansion board Port 1) inputs, since the HV inputs are connected to 5V via
a 2.7 ohm resistor the PIR 'output' will pull this down to ground.

I only have approx 10 left in stock and, under the circumstances, I'm
uncertain if I'm likely to get any more as standard stock.

As for the small detectors I've not made any of these yet - I've had a lot
of delays as you can imagine :o(
I can't foresee making any of them in the very near future. I was in the
process of making the tooling for the mounting bezel, but lost everything
in
the factory fire. Also, I haven't finalised the circuit design yet.

The basic spec for the small PIRs will probably be as follows:

Very small size - the detector head is just 12mm in diameter
Feedback LED - switchable ON/DIM/OFF
Onboard voltage regulator for 5V to 30V supply voltage
Open collector output switching 50mA @ 50V approx
Miniature terminal block

I would envisage that they would be priced approx £35+VAT

Regards

Simon
