Depends on what you want really and what you can afford at the time.

I have recently had hassles with X10 modules not behaving as they should
which leads me to conclude I need something better. C-BUS is the obvious
next step to take after X10 to me.

That's the point. ;)

And then there's those lovely switches which you just can't even get close
to using lesser systems which does give it a certain WOW factor.

Indeed a hurdle for the moment, but I'm very glad I have my own bank
