I'm going slowly mad trying to install Java on a Fuji tablet running
Win 98. It SEEMS to install, but (1) I cannot get the console to
display by clicking on the Sun Java Console option in the tools menu
of Internet Explorer (v6), also (2) when I try to load an html web
page (on another local machine) containing a reference to an applet,
it comes up with "class trio.applet.Trio.Applet not found" in the
status bar.
It sees the html on the local machine but fails to find the required
file(s).
Typing java -version at a DOS command prompt comes up with the
relevant version of Java.
I have a laptop running exacly the same version of Windows, IE and
Java, and that works fine.
Anyone have any ideas?
TIA
Nick
