Re: Multi port CCTV capture cards - Geovision, Avermedia etc

Yep, the mobile/PDA support is going to be the next big focus for the .18
stream. I was talking to someone who was going to get me a GeoVision board
to write some custom drivers for it as it doesn't support Video4Linux. My
budget can't really run to one just for playing with yet but I've had a
look
at the SDK and it doesn't look too complicated. I have a couple of other 8
port cards that weren't too expensive and are supported so it's not really
been a priority up until now.

As for rounded corners, you might have noticed that graphical GUIs are not
my speciality! At some point I'll make ZM skinnable so people can roll
their
own but that's a release or two away I think.

Cheers,

Phil,

ISO
would also be massively beneficial to non-Linux people - took me quite a
few
days to get my head around Linux. The other main features I wanted were
dedicated multi port H/W (the Geovision card that's arriving tomorrow has 8
inputs). The slick user interfaces (more rounded graphical approach) were
also nice - I could design something myself for ZM of course, but I never
got the time :(
