I've had much better results with separate rippers and encoders, compared
to
the "all in one" products like MusicMatch.

Best Ripper: Exact Audio Copy (EAC)     http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/
Best Encoder: LAME
http://rarewares.hydrogenaudio.org/files/lame-3.90.3.zip

EAC will let you configure the LAME location/options ONCE, so you never
need
realise you're dealing with separate products once everything's set up.
