The version of Samba used in XBMP and XBMC was f00ked. XBMC now has a new
implementation of Samba, I havn't tried it yet, but it should fix the 10
minute freezing.

I couldn't find a work around at the time so installed ccxstream as
recommended by Stubbs, and has worked flawlessly ever since.

Oh saw mention of .IFO file support in the most recent version of XBMC too,
don't think it is full DVD support yet tho.
